It is therefore important to properly wash babies' noses because until 6 months of age, infants breathe exclusively through their noses. Any nasal congestion in a baby hinders their breathing and causes effort and fatigue. Nasal washing helps them breathe better and prevents exhaustion.

👶 Our Advice
Nose washing for babies can be done from 1 month of age, however, it is possible to use our nasal syringes for nose washing from 4 months of age.
- Fill the syringe with saline solution or physiological saline
- Lay your baby on their back, with their head to the side
- Insert the tip into the opening of their upper nostril and gently inject the product

Clean the nasal secretions with a tissue and do the other nostril by turning their head to the other side
- You can repeat the operation several times until the nose is clean. Clean the syringe and tip after each use
🧸 Nose washing for babies under 4 months
Nose washing is recommended 2 to 3 times a day. We offer two methods for babies under 6 months:
- Lay them on their side
- Pour a little saline solution into the upper nostril to flush out secretions
- Wipe and reassure baby after the care for a soothing moment.
Or
- Take a piece of cotton or a clean compress
- Moisten it with saline solution
- Roll it into a small, thin roll as thin as possible
- Insert the end of the cotton into your baby's nostril (without going too far to avoid discomfort)
- Make small circular movements to dislodge all dirt
- Take the other side of the cotton and repeat the operation in the other nostril
🧸 Nose washing for babies over 4 months
With age, baby becomes more mobile, and washing their nose requires patience...
- Start by filling one of our syringes with saline solution or physiological saline
- Before 6 months, place baby lying down, head turned to the side

Gently insert the silicone tip into the entrance of the upper nostril. Inject the saline solution gently to clear the airways
- Turn the baby's head to repeat the operation on the other nostril.
For older children, seat them with their back against yours, leaning slightly forward.
