How to effectively fight against cellulite?

Comment lutter efficacement contre la cellulite ?

Cellulite most often appears when there is a change in the structure of the adipose tissue under our epidermis, meaning it surfaces during hormonal upheavals such as puberty, pregnancy, breastfeeding, menopause, or sudden weight gain. Furthermore, it can be favored by other factors like genetics, poor diet, and poor skin circulation.

Unfortunately, there are no miracle cures, but here are some tips to alleviate what many people consider a complex.

Engage in regular physical activity and improve your diet

This is common advice we often hear, but it's the best remedy for your skin problems and for reducing cellulite. Indeed, no matter what activity you prefer, the important thing is to start and stick with it. From walking to cycling, swimming, or dancing... Move your body and it will thank you! The toxins eliminated during your sessions will improve your blood/lymphatic circulation and promote tissue oxygenation. With a good diet, you will lose fat more easily and have a better chance of eliminating cellulite afterwards. Drink plenty of water, infusions made with green tea or ginger, and also water with lemon.

Favor anti-cellulite massage devices

Regular physical activity is not enough; you need to be able to treat cellulite at the root to release the fat contained under the epidermis, make it more mobile, and finally make it disappear. To do this, you can go to specialized institutes where they will provide the necessary treatments to deeply treat cellulite. However, you can also massage yourself using a massage roller and appropriate oils (or creams). For example: castor oil, macadamia oil, chaulmoogra oil, sesame oil, borage oil, etc.

Opt for suitable outfits

Say goodbye to overly tight everyday outfits; your blood doesn't circulate properly, which prolongs the life of cellulite. Instead, opt for form-fitting but not too tight clothes, anti-cellulite leggings or shorts, dresses, skirts, or more flared clothing.

Use natural scrubs

Regularly exfoliating your whole body, especially on areas where cellulite is persistent, will help you eliminate it more easily. You can opt for a scrub with coffee grounds and a vegetable oil (mentioned above). Simply mix the two and apply the mixture to your body; you'll get smooth skin without dead cells! Additionally, you can also opt for a sea salt scrub: mix a vegetable oil (15 cL), an essential oil (30 drops), then add sea salt (200 g), then massage your thighs, buttocks, and legs with this mixture twice a week.

Daily habits to adopt

- Ladies, avoid high heels (4-5 cm max), as they reduce the calf pump effect, which is what nourishes the deep veins of the leg.
- Opt for a cold water jet at the end of your shower.
- Once in bed, elevate your feet.
- Avoid smoking to limit disruption of blood circulation.
- Avoid overly hot showers; heat dilates blood vessels.
- Avoid crossing your legs or remaining seated for too long.
